June update from Ubiquity Press
It’s been a busy month at UP…
New journal launch
Glocality, a new multidisciplinary undergraduate journal which offers a platform to college students around the world to publish their work and original research, launched on the Ubiquity Press platform earlier this month. The journal explores the relationship between local and global, and will feature articles in the fields of social entrepreneurship, civil society, urban dynamics and health.
Chapter-by-chapter book publishing
Thinking Beyond Sectors for Sustainable Development (Edited by Jeff Waage & Chris Yap) provides a concise introduction to the debates in a number of vital development sectors, reviews progress made in each sector, and to considers how looking beyond sectors might open new opportunities for inclusive, sustainable development.
The book is particularly notable because it is the first UP book to be made available by the chapter, with each chapter being devoted to a specific development goal.
Data publication in Open Quaternary
Open Quaternary, which publishes research into all aspects of the Quaternary period, published its first “data paper” this month.
Ubiquity Press strongly encourages the publication of open data and data papers are a great way to encourage authors to share, and gain credit for, their data. Please contact us for more information about data publication.
